What a great night at the MAME Awards
Roger and Gabe were gleaming with joy Saturday night when they were awarded the 2008 GRAND AWARD. Winning 5 of the 7 categories they were nominated for, Moeller Custom Properties is so proud to be recognized in the industry for doing an excellent job.
In addition to winning the Grand Award they took home Best New Home-Detached ($2 Million and over, Villa de Grace), Best Interior Design for a New Home ($2 Million and over, Villa de Grace), Best Interior Design for a New home ($1,200,000-1,500,000) and Best Landscape Design ($2 Million and up, Villa de Grace).

Saturday, April 18, the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs announced the winners of the 26th annual MAME awards, which are given to professionals in the home building industry. Award recipients are builders, developers, remodelors and HBA associates who have made significant contributions to the residential merchandising of new homes and related industries. Judges at The International Builders Show in Orlando chose from over 100 entries using criteria specific to each category. For example, best new home criteria included overall exterior and interior design appeal, creative use of interior space and functionality of floor plan. Use of color, materials, furniture, accessories, window and wall treatments, exterior materials, landscaping, and other factors.

MOELLER CUSTOM PROPERTIES Inc. WINS BIG AT THE 2008 MAME AWARDS APRIL 18TH!
Roger, Deb, Gabe and Carisa Moeller, owners of Moeller Custom Properties, were recognized by the Colorado Springs Home Builder Association by winning five of seven categories entered at this year’s MAME Awards Gala Saturday, April 18th at the Broadmoor.
Award recipients are builders, developers, remodelers and HBA associates who have made significant contributions to the residential merchandising of new homes and related industries. Judges at The International Builders Show in Orlando chose from over 100 entries using criteria specific to each category. The homes were featured in the 2008 Parade of Homes.

*Best Interior Design with Stephanie Beam of Drexel Heritage for a New Home ($1.2-$1.5 Million) “Walt Disney Signature Home”
*Best Interior Design with Nancy Lusk of Dynasty Design for a New Home ($2 Million and Up) “Villa de Grace”
*Best Landscape Design with Fredell Enterprises for a New Home ($2 Million and UP) “Villa de Grace”
*Best New Home ($2 Million and Up) “Villa de Grace”

Receiving these awards is affirmation of the Moeller team’s on-going efforts to deliver a genuine custom product that exceeds expectations while providing a pleasant building experience.

That’s the Moeller difference. “Our homes are the creation of our owners, “said Deb Moeller, Roger’s wife of 38 years and a real estate broker since 1980. “When one is paying hard-earned money for a custom home, you don’t want to see the same house down the street.“ “We are so pleased that our owners are so gracious and willing to show off their homes,“Moeller said. “They are our best cheerleaders!“
Each of the four Moeller family members has his or her own strength. First, there’s Roger, a longtime builder who made his Colorado Springs debut in 1978 in the Camels Ridge community and has built custom homes ever since. Roger has a degree in Architecture and learned to build homes when he was a teenager building homes with his father during the summer months. Deb, Roger’s high school sweet heart , handles the marketing and also is a licensed real estate broker. Gabe learned the construction business from the ground floor, working with Roger and other builders, excavating, framing, roofing and trimming. He earned his contractor’s license in 2005 and brings young, fresh ideas to the mix. Carisa, Gabe’s wife of ten years, specializes in Web-based endeavors and advertising materials.
Moeller Custom Properties had three entries in the 2008 Parade of Homes this past August. They were very pleased to win ten Industry Awards of Excellence and the Peoples’ Choice Award which is voted on by those who attend the Parade and is the most coveted award by the builders.
Whether it’s a $500,000 home or a $4,000,000 home, the Moellers’ core values remain the same…integrity in all they do, refusal to cut corners, attention to detail and expertise. Over the years Roger has worked with more than 50 subcontractors and forged relationships with scores of others in the industry, from interior designers to landscapers and many trades in between. “Some of our subcontractors want us to build their homes”, Roger said. “That’s a wonderful compliment!“ The Moellers encourage feedback and involvement during the entire building process. “We’re flexible on how we work with folks, and you won’t hurt our feelings if you don’t like something,“ Moeller said. “It doesn’t have to be our way. We want our owners to be happy!“
Moeller Custom Properties builds in all different price ranges and Roger has built in Pine Creek, the Broadmoor Resort Community, Cedar Heights, Cathedral Pines, the Vail area and Flying Horse.
